AFSCME International President Lee Saunders will be in Connecticut in support of organized labor's efforts to elect pro-worker candidates to office and prevent a "Wisconsin moment" from happening in our state.
Saunders, who galvanized the state AFL-CIO Convention in June, will keynote the "Save the Middle Class" labor rally on Thursday, Oct. 16 preceding the gubernatorial debate in New London.

The rally will take start at 5:00 p.m. outside the Garde Arts Center, 325 State St., New London. AFSCME Council 15, AFSCME Local 724 and Carpenters Local 24 are sponsoring the event.
President Saunders will also kick off the AFL-CIO's weekly Labor to Labor Walk in Meriden on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 8:30 a.m. at the Meriden Federation of Teachers , 35 Pleasant St, Meriden.
